It is one thing to be a spiritual leader; but it's another thing to be a good one.
Scriptures tell us that many are CALLED, but few are CHOSEN; implying that many are occupying the spiritual leadership offices, but few are actually doing the work of a spiritual leader effectively.
So, let's go into the Scriptures and her what the Spirit of God have for us on becoming a good spiritual leader.
"If you instruct the brethren in these things; you will be a good minister of Jesus Christ, nourished in the words of faith and of the god doctrine which you have carefully followed."
(I Timothy 4:6)
To become a good spiritual leader;
* You must be nourished in the Word of God.
* You must be an ardent follower of sound biblical teachings - you must be and remain a student of the Word of God.
* You must be mentored by God-ordained older (not by age) spiritual leader.
* You must be sound and solid in instructing (teaching) God's people, the revealed truth of God's Word.
Good spiritual leadership begins with a consistent feeding on God's Word, to being mentored, to teaching others. (2 Timothy 2:1-2).
