Builders Of The Old Waste Places

Then the Lord spoke to Moses, saying: "See, I have called by name Bezalel the son of Uri, the son of Hur, of the tribe of Judah. And I have filled him with the Spirit of God, in wisdom, in understanding, in knowledge, and in all manner of workmanship, to design artistic works, to work in gold, in silver, in bronze,  in cutting jewels for setting, in carving wood, and to work in all manner of workmanship.

Exodus 31:1-4

The Lord will guide you continually,

And satisfy your soul in drought,

And strengthen your bones;

You shall be like a watered garden,

And like a spring of water, whose waters do not fail.

Those from among you

Shall build the old waste places;

You shall raise up the foundations of many generations;

And you shall be called the Repairer of the Breach,

The Restorer of Streets to Dwell In.

 Isaiah 58:11-12

If Jesus needed to teach His disciples to always say and think: “Let Your will be done on the earth, as it is done in heaven”; then, it must be an important issue.

The point is, the Lord has a plan for this generation – a well articulated one, which He expect His ministers (sons and servants alike) to execute  at the appointed time on the earth. And a significant part of such eternal plan of God for this generation; is to build the old waste places. Please note, this generation is not called out of sin, sickness and sorrow for the purpose of pointing accusing fingers at the previous generations 9that knew nothing better) that brought wastage, corruption and scarcity upon the land\nations; rather, this generation have been called out (even into smaller denominations – Daystar Christian Centre, Family Worship Centre, Redeemed Christian Church of God, Harvesthouse International Church, TREM, MFM, Deeper Life Bible Church, etc. and also into larger denominations – PFN, CAN, etc.) for the purpose of building (developing, raising, advancing, etc.) the old waste places. 

 Sir\Ma, I am not saying that corruption, nepotism, favouritism and red-tapism is not in our governments and even in our denominations; but I am saying that you and I have not been so called to just blame the people that we think have contributed to the prevailing national and organizational decays; but to accept ( a demanding, challenging and sometimes discouraging) responsibility for building such decaying places.

According to the book of Isaiah, the LORD said, “Those from you shall build the old waste places”. Really, if that was omitted; then, I would have joined the band wagon to keep expecting somebody or some people from somewhere (say China, Korea, Russia and even Brazil) to come and develop or build our nations and churches for us. But since the LORD has given that responsibility (calling) to you and I; then, we must summon great courage to set out for the fulfillment of this high calling – not to be onlookers or mere advocates; but true builders.

May I say then, that growth that our hearts most yearn for in our nations and even in our organizations (ministries, churches and businesses) is a victim of our willingness and readiness to accept responsibilities for our national and organizational growth.

Your people shall be volunteers in the day of Your power; in the beauties of holiness, from the womb of the morning, You have the dew of Your youth.

Psalms 110:3

Let me boldly announce to you Sir\Ma, “we are in the day of God’s power” For the LORD has released His Holy Spirit into the earth, to alight and abide upon men – giving them the power to do the will of God on the earth.

But you shall receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you; and you shall be witnesses to Me* in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the end of the earth."

Acts 1:8

When the Day of Pentecost had fully come, they were all with one accord* in one place.  And suddenly there came a sound from heaven, as of a rushing mighty wind, and it filled the whole house where they were sitting. Then there appeared to them divided tongues, as of fire, and one sat upon each of them. And they were all filled with the Holy Spirit and began to speak with other tongues, as the Spirit gave them utterance.

Acts 2:1-4

Sir\Ma, you and I are currently living in the day (time) of the power of God – For God’s Spirit is poured upon the whole earth (Joel 2:28) to empower men. But the question now is, “what does the Holy Spirit empower men for?” The answer is here Sir\Ma, “The Holy Spirit empowers men to do the will of God on the earth!”

And to those who think that God’s will for their lives will always make them a teacher or preacher of God’s word; please, do well to read that book of Exodus 31:1-3 again: For Bezalel was not called by God and anointed by the Holy Spirit to preacher, neither to teach; but to work in all manner of workmanship.

Sir\Ma, what the Lord has released and He is releasing into your life is actually bigger than anything you could contain to retain; rather, to contain to release. Make a sure commitment this day, to accept responsibility for the building of your national and organizational decays. The truth is, that is actually, what you were called (assigned) and ordained (appointed) for and that is what you shall soon be accountable for.
