The most common root cause of low self-esteem is the inability to accept yourself the way you are, all you see is your flaws, you look at yourself in the mirror and see the ‘big nose’ or ‘flat nose’, or somebody has looked at you in the past and pointed out a flaw in you, they might have told you that you are too short, too slim, too big, too…whatever’, your mates might have made jest of you whilst growing up regarding a particular part of your physical composure that has made you despise yourself and stolen your self-worth and self-confidence.
Gen 1:26a… Then God said, “Let us make mankind in our image, in our likeness, and verse 31a… God saw all that he had made, and it was very good.
So I figured out that you and I are part of the ‘mankind’ that God created here and stamped as ‘VERY GOOD’ in verse 31, so why will you believe the lie of the enemy. You are custom made, you are peculiar, you are God’s master piece, you are uniquely you.
God crafted you in love to fit into His plan and unique purpose for your life and destiny, you may think that you are too short, but it’s all part of the plan, that nose that is making you despise yourself might be what God has positioned to get you attracted to your future partner. If you indeed believe God, then you ought to begin to celebrate and love yourself just the way you are because God cannot make junk, neither can He make mistakes, anybody that is despising you is actually insulting God, telling God that He doesn’t know what He was doing when he made you, so don’t worry about it.
Nobody can be you like you are you, accept and love yourself, stop trying so hard to look like that ‘celebrity’, the best of somebody else you can be is ‘a photocopy’, you are original, crafted by Love Himself. You are special.
