It appears that the President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria Medical Vacation still continues even as he is physically present in Nigeria. President Muhammadu Buhari on Friday said he decided to return to the country so that he can continue his rest over the weekend.
The PUNCH reports that Buhari said Vice President Yemi Osinbajo would continue to work while he continues his rest. He has therefore asked those who planned to send a delegation to come and welcome him to stay back and continue to pray for the country. Buhari spoke at a meeting he held with government officials shortly after arriving the Presidential Villa, Abuja.
The President also hinted that he would be doing some follow-ups on his health in a few weeks. Buhari immediately on arrival held meeting with some cabinet members and top aides led by Osinbajo at the First Lady Conference room.
Buhari left Nigeria on 19 January for a Medical vacation in London and was scheduled to return to work on 6 February. The President return was later postponed due to some further medical tests that was prescribed by the doctors. He later returned in the early hours of this morning after spending 49 days in the United Kingdom.
