Human Excellence is a commonplace term, which is often admired by many, but equally misconceived by many. Excellence is the quality or state of being outstanding or superior; and human here relates to people – involving human beings (male and female modules).

      The beauty of human creation is in the excellence of each creature of God. Implying that, no matter how insignificant a creature (human – male or female) may see himself or herself or may be seen by others; every human – male or female possesses the ‘capacity for excellence’, and it is in that capacity that he or she could become outstanding or superior. Hence, gender superiority is relative: For every gender is only superior or outstanding in its capacity for excellence.

“Nevertheless, neither is man independent of woman, nor woman independent of man, in the Lord. For as woman came from man, even so man comes through woman; but all things are from God.”

I Corinthians 11:11-12

      And so, by the Spirit of understanding of the LORD God, I have come to realize that the two human genders (modules) posses two distinct characteristic-capacities, through which their excellence as humans emanates.

 

The Hallmark of Man’s Excellence

        Man is the male human module, and his excellence is tied to his extent, degree, dimension, or amount of his VALOURS. Thus, a man’s hallmark of excellence is the extent of his VALOURS.

“And the Angel of the LORD appeared to him, and said to him, “The LORD is with you, you mighty man of valor!”

Judges 6:11

          VALOUR implies courage – courage, especially that is shown in war or battle. And so, as a man, you can only be called “Your Excellency Sir”; after you have demonstrated courageous feats in the battles of life, and you have won. Victory is often a consequence of valour; and victory is often synonymous to success, riches, power, influence, etc. Hence, an excellent Man is an influential man – a man of a good and inspiring record of success!

 

The Hallmark of Woman’s Excellence

       The woman is the female human module, whose excellence is measured by the degree or dimension of her VIRTUES.

“Who can find a virtuous wife? For her worth is far above rubies.”

Proverbs 31:10

             VIRTUE implies the moral quality of being chaste, especially in a woman. Being chaste implies being pure in thought and deed; being sexually faithful and being plain – simple and unadorned in style.

          The truth is, while a man’s excellence is tied to his accomplishments at his work – (“Do you see a man who excels in his work? He will stand before kings; he will not stand before unknown men.” - Proverbs 22:29); a woman’s excellence is tied to her morality.

       And really, there is no REAL link between a woman’s beauty and her excellence; rather, her excellence is in her conducts, manners, character, purity, etc.

“Many daughters have done well, but you excel them all. Charm is deceitful and beauty is passing, but a woman who fears the LORD, she shall be praised.”

Proverbs 31:29-30

        That Scripture tells us the only reason for the praise (celebration) of excellence of any woman, which is her fear of the LORD – her morality!

         Thus, I submit that the only way a woman can be outstanding or superior is in her VRTUES; while a man’s superiority is in his VALOUR!

  • As a man, go on in life in ‘this’ your MIGHT!
  • As a woman, earn more worth (influence) by your MORALS!
