We all are believers; however, we differ on and by what we believe. We hardly believe same way; but whether we choose to believe or not - life continues! Some believe that a stone exist; while others believe that stones are shadows of real things. Indeed, some believe that a stone is their own god; while some believe that an iron is their god. However, in spite of the diversities in our beliefs; what is real is real, and what is assumed is assumed. Before an average person sits on the chair, he or she believes that the chair will hold or support him or her; and before we board aeroplanes, we believe that they will fly. But, how many of these things that be believe will do what they claim they can do and are who they claim they are; have been found faithful and reliable.
I believe that the quality of man's life is the product of the authenticity and reliability of what and whom such a man believes. Disappointment is not a pleasant experience; however, disappointment is only possible when a man's belief is dashed or cut off or disappears. You will be disappointed in an arm chair if it fails to live up to your EXPECTATIONS. Today, many of us have expectations for and in many things, relationships, structures, organizations, personalities and governments; however, our experiences has been shaped by the authenticity and reliabilities of those things and people.
For instance, if a mad man tears his or her cloth, you consider it a normal experience - but if a school teacher tears his or her cloth; you feel disappointed in such person. The point is, at every point or place in life, we believe many things, and we experience many things - what we believe is however our own choice; but what we experience is the product or choice of what we believe. Therefore, every man's life is a reflection of his or her faith. Whatever you see in and around your life is not accidental; but the product of your faith. If you are poor or rich, educated or illiterate, employed or unemployed, leader or follower, strong or weak, honest or dishonest, Medical Doctor or Pharmacist, Economist or Engineer, fisherman or fish seller, politician or electorate, pastor or church member, model citizen or militant and so on; your experience is the product of your faith.
Some people believe that life is a market; hence, the see themselves as either a buyer or a seller. Some people believe that life is a game; hence, they see themselves as players. Some believe that life is a battlefield; hence, they see themselves as soldiers. The truth is, your life will always revolve around the scope your vision for yourself and your relevance. If you see yourself as small like grassscutter before others; you will become small! As you think (see yourself in your heart), you are!
Therefore, the quickest way to know the manner or quality of your life is to examine the manner and quality of your faith. The more dependable, real and original the things and people you believe are; the better your life will be!
As for me, "I believe in Jesus Christ as my own Lord and Saviour. I believe that He came to the earth for my own enthronement in relevance among men. I believe that His will for my own life is to be fruitful and faithful in the discharge of His will in my marriage, family, calling (life assignment) and in my generation. I believe that I am peculiar and special in His eyes. I believe that I will reign with Him in eternity at His second coming to the earth. I believe in the presence, power, purpose and personality of His Holy Spirit and His Father! I believe in your glorious destiny in Jesus Christ - if you choose to believe in Him!" Enjoy your new experiences in faith!
