Just a while ago, I was reading an article on DestinyLifters.Com. The writer was helping us to realize that we can achieve the impossible when we are favoured by God. While reading the article; the need to write this particular article became more pressing. Favour according to the writer is winning the heart of God – It is God’s demonstration of His personal commitment to your life. When such favour is in place; nothing can be impossible for any man. No wonder the Scriptures say that Jesus grew in stature and in wisdom; and He had favour before God and men. Favour is indeed good.
However, this article is not a writing on favour; but on grace. While favour is winning the heart of God; I believe that grace is enjoying the hand of God. The heart of God on any matter relates with His willingness; while the hand of God on any matter relates with His ability. While it is good to win the willing heart of God; you must also enjoy the ability of God to get any meaningful thing done on earth.
Economists, perhaps, more than other professionals, understand the the implication of willingnesss and ability. To an Economist, you are not yet demanding a product; until there is a willingness and ability to buy the product in you. I love this product or I love that product does not translate to demand - until there a willingness and an ability to pay.
In same vein, your life may not become excitingly beautiful or easy if you only succeed in desiring a thing or a cause or a vision. If it stops with your desire and even in some cases, including God's desire; you might end up financing such vision or thing or project. To enjoy ease or stress-free fulfillment of God's vision or idea in your heart; you must engage the power of grace!
Remember, grace is for a race; that is, until you have been enlisted in a race (vision, mision, purpose, goal or objective); you may not be able to attract God's available grace. In short, grace is not for a fun-fair; but for your effective functioning. Grace and money are not the same; but the two can get the job done. However, while you look (work) for money; grace is freely given. While money takes from you; grace adds to you. And while each expenditure of money reduces the available money; grace is inexhuastible. In short, grace is from God and more abundant than the water of the ocean.
You could do that your coming wedding, or your new house construction or your business project or your studies by spending money or by enjoying grace. One will stress your heart greatly; the other will amaze your soul deeply. In short, one will make living easy for you; the other will make living worrisome for you.
The question is, which one would you love to enjoy - more money or more grace? The choice is yours, and the consequence is equally yours! I love to stand to do the will of my God on this earth by His grace....I love to teach the Word of His grace.....helping God's people to walk and live by His grace!
