According to the book of Hebrews 13:4, Marriage is honourable among all...adultery most never be found in it. From the book of Genesis 2:15-25, we understand that marriage is no man's idea; instead, it us the special creation of God for the fulfillment of His purpose on earth. It therefore suggests that the best idea for the stability, prosperity and fulfillment of any marriage can only be sourced in God and established by God.
Some people believe that marriage is not easy; and quite a good number of people across the nations of the earth would rather remain unmarried instead of entering into their presumably frustrating institution called marriage. I believe that your perspective and disposition can make or mar your marriage. If you think that your wife is a witch, you will hardly desire to love her; and if you think your husband hates you; you will scarcely want to respect him. The point is, how you see your husband or wife can determine your posture with or against him.
According to God's design, marriage is supposed to be a reflection of God on earth. What do I mean by that? We know that God is the Father, we also know that God is the Holy Spirit, and we know that God is the Son; however we do know that the three are One. The Scripture from the book of Genesis 1:26 reveals important truth for every married couple: Then God said, "Let Us make man in Our image, according to Our likeness; let them have dominion...."
From that Scripture, we could see some important keywords like: Us, Our, image, likeness, them...." The point is, despite that fact that God is the Father, Son and the Holy Spirit; and He used the word 'Us', 'Our'; He also used some very important words to eliminate the plurality of the God-head - image, likeness. Despite their plurality, God did not say, our 'images' or our 'likenesses'. The truth is, the perfect image of every marriage is the image of the God-head; the undivided image of LOVE. Marriage is expected to reflect this undivided nature of the God-head.
With that in mind, let us now look into the reason for this article. Because the wife is created and formed as the suitable helper to the husband, sometimes, virtuous women find it a little challenging to demand things that pleases their hearts from their husbands - due to their submission. But I found an important lesson for the virtuous women, that can help them to get their desires approved easily by their husbands.......Then the king said to me, "What do you request?"So I prayed to the God of heaven. And I said to the king, "If it pleases the king, and if your servant has found favour in your sight, I ask that you send me to Judah, to the city of my fathers's tomb, that I may rebuild it."Then the king said to me (the queen also sitting beside him), "How long will our journey be? And when will you return?" So it pleased the king to send me; an I set him a time. Nehemiah 2:4-6
Wisdom for the virtuous women indeed! Do you know that your husband is also a king; the earlier you discover that the better; and as his helper and queen, you must know how to approach or demand (request) things from him - no matter how big or small. You may think that your husband is one of the most difficult people in the world; but I believe very strongly that if you meditate on the worlds of Nehemiah before the king; you will discover the timeless wisdom you must embrace to please your husband and get almost anything from him.
No matter how urgent or important or insignificant the request might be, before you tell your husband about it; pray to the god of heaven - no matter how short or how long the prayer might be; then, in the confidence you have received from God, tell your husband about it; and be sure, his heart will be pleased with you. Remember, no matter how important the request might be to you; until your husband is pleased with you; he cannot be pleased with your request....in short, you are the one that sanctifies every matter or request you present to your husband.
Your marriage doesn't have to be stressful or difficult; treat him as a king; and you will enjoy the benefit of queens all the days of your life.
